Essential Info
This CLD and Compact Fluorescent Resistant Wall-Mount IR Sensor includes special circuitry to reduce interference from LCD displays, all types of fluorescent lights, and direct sunlight. Having this feature reduces the unit's sensitivity to IR signals between 30 - 60 kHz (most remote controls are around 40kHz). This unit does have an adjustment under the front IR lens to change the optimal IR carrier frequency (32 to 56 kHz). This adjustment will further reduce the unit's sensitivity to extraneous signals. When properly adjusted, the IR sensor will operate even when sunlight is directly shining into it. Comes with a dark red IR lens and receives IR signals from up to 70 feet away and up to 90º. This product is not compatible with Scientific Atlanta cable boxes or AT&T U-Verse boxes. If you have one of these boxes you would need to use the plasma proof versions listed here.

Convert signals from IR remotes into DC signals that are transmitted along wires to emitters at the audio/video equipment. Install this LCD & Compact Fluorescent Resistant Wall-Mount IR Sensor in a standard electrical junction box or a low-voltage mud ring. It has the same opening as a Decora wiring device and needs to be finished with a Decora-style trim plate (sold separately)
Xantech's LCD & Compact Fluorescent Resistant Wall-Mount IR Sensor includes a wiring terminal on the rear for connection to 3- or 4-conductor cable. Use a 3- or 4-conductor cable (24 gauge up to 200', 22 gauge up to 600', 20 gauge up to 2000', 18 gauge up to 5000'), to run between the remote room and main room locations. Additionally, a talkback LED is included on the front for system testing as well as indicating infrared reception. This IR Sensor is powered by 12 volts DC from the IR Connection Block.
This IR Sensor may be used with other models and brands (generally up to 16 on one system) without interference.
