This TV features a wide aperture 11-element hybrid lens assembly for sharp picture corner-to-corner without color shift, a first-surface mirror for higher light transmission with minimal light refraction, a 100-watt UHP lamp for enhanced image brightness, a dual-layer screen assembly to eliminate distortion and for crisp focus corner-to-corner, and a fine pitch lenticular screen with .072mm pitch width black stripes for contrast and reduced ambient light reflections.
There are four viewing modes: 16:9 widescreen, cinemascope, panorama, and 4:3 standard. This TV has a progressive scan system, a three-dimensional digital comb filter technology, and a high-density TFT 1.43" active matrix LCD panel with more than 760,000 pixels for high-resolution picture. Two tuner picture-in-picture lets you watch two different images simultaneously, and a two-stage zoom picture mode maximizes 16:9 screen, making this TV perfect for widescreen movies. Its high-contrast anti-static scratch-resistant screen improves picture clarity and resists dust.
This TV's audio system features stereo broadcast reception with an MTS decoder and digital surround sound utilizing the two built-in speakers to provide full surround capability with stadium, concert hall, or mono for classic movies. 12 watts per channel audio power delivers big sound, and there are auxiliary speaker terminals for a second pair of outboard speakers.
Convenience features include help messages that appear when a selected function cannot be completed, a hidden side panel for controls and A/V inputs with S-Video, three rear-panel A/V inputs and S-Video input for VCR, DSS, DVD, laserdisc or other video device hook-up, and monitor output.
