Essential Info
Radio-frequency remote controls send radio waves in every direction, but they require an RF base station to get signals to the components if they are not within direct line of sight of the electronic equipment. Maximize the features of your RF-enabled universal remote control by installing an RF base station. You'll be able to keep all of your unsightly A/V components behind cabinet or closet doors while controlling them as usual, thanks to the MRF-350 RF Receiver/IR Transmitter, which receives your remote control's RF commands and transmits them to all of the components in the cabinet or room, either through the base station's front IR blaster or through the six included plug-in flashers. The MRF-350 RF Receiver/IR Transmitter is compatible ONLY with the MX-3000 IR/RF Color Touchscreen Remote, the TX-1000 Medius Addressable Remote, the MX-950 Aurora RF-IR Programmable Remote, and the MX-900 (each sold separately).

100-Foot Expandable Control RangeThe MRF-350's built-in front blaster sends commands to components in the same cabinet space. Six self-adhesive "flashers" affix to the infrared sensors on the front panels of your components, relaying commands to components out of sight of the front blaster. If your remote is out of range of the base station, it can still work: The MRF-350 also receives RF signals via the included RFX-150 antenna, which provides coverage of up to 100 feet in normal conditions and can be mounted up to 150 feet away. One RFX-250 antenna is included with the unit, but additional antennas are sold separately. Perfect for use with Multi-zone systems, the MRF-350 allows up to three separate RFX-250 RF Sensors connected in parallel to the RF Input connector.
Control Identical Components in Different Rooms of Your HomeThe MRF-350 base station is an "addressable" base station. RF Addressing gives you the ability to control as many as 90 identical components throughout a house. Each MRF-350 has six "addressable" IR Line Outputs; if you have more than six identical components or zones, up to 15 MRF-350s can be separately installed to control them. In cases where devices are prone to IR emitter overload, the MRF-350 can adjust for reduced IR emitter output so that devices like TiVo, satellite and cable boxes are not oversaturated.
Improved Spurious Adjacent Signal RejectionThe new MRF-350 is capable of receiving Narrow Band RF reception via the RFX-250 antenna module. This provides for longer-range reception with less interference. The RFX-250 displays RF interference via a bright red LED, which flickers when interference is present. Simply relocate the RFX-250 out of the interference area to resolve the problem.
