The TX-1000 Medius Addressable Remote uses activity-based menus for ease of control. Simply press the WATCH button to see a list of what you can watch on TV in your system. When you feel like listening to music, press the LISTEN button to reveal a list of what you can hear on your system. Once you make a selection, the Medius' automation takes over and completely reconfigures your system to watch or listen to the selected choice.
The Medius is equipped with a bright, easy-to-read LCD touchscreen, which can be customized for your system. The screen labels the ten hard buttons, and up to 40 devices can be controlled using up to 40 pages per device. This allows custom interfaces to be created for every room and every user, complete with automated favorite channels and stations.
By taking advantage of this universal remote control's RF capability, you'll have more flexibility in the placement of your components. The TX-1000 Medius Addressable Remote sends your commands via both infrared and radio-frequency signals. The RF signals travel through walls and doors, so you can keep your components in a cabinet or even in another room. To take advantage of this feature, you'll need an RF base station. Available is the MRF-350 RF Receiver/IR Transmitter, which features narrow-band RF reception, providing for longer-range reception with less interference.
Customize the universal remote control using a free text-based software download. Just connect the remote to your PC with the included USB cord for programming. Basic setup takes only a short time with this software; it is recommended that a professional A/V installer program your TX-1000 Medius Addressable Remote for maximum usage.
Add RF CapabilitiesMake sure every remote control signal is delivered every time by setting up the MSC-400 Master System Controller, which combines RF communication technology, redundancy, error-correction algorithms, and advanced engineering to provide you with the most trouble-free system possible.
