The MX-950 Aurora RF-IR Programmable Remote can manage 255 devices, ideal for use as a master remote for large, complex systems, even for homes with secondary systems in various rooms. Automate all of your favorite activities, channels and settings for maximum ease of use. You can even control components in cabinets or different rooms: By sending radio-frequency signals to the included RF expander unit, the Aurora can manage components without line-of-sight access. This way, you can keep unsightly stacks of components in cabinets or in another room.

The MX-950 Aurora RF-IR Programmable Remote uses activity-based menus for ease of control. Simply press the WATCH button to see a list of what you can watch on TV in your system. When you feel like listening to music, press the LISTEN button to reveal a list of what you can hear on your system. Once you make a selection, the Aurora's automation takes over and completely reconfigures your system to watch or listen to the selected choice.
The Aurora is equipped with a bright, easy-to-read LCD screen, which can be customized for your system. The screen labels the ten hard buttons, and up to 255 devices can be controlled using up to 255 pages per device. This allows custom interfaces to be created for every room and every user, complete with automated favorite channels and stations. The LCD lights up automatically when the universal remote control is moved, thanks to an internal motion sensor.
By taking advantage of this universal remote control's RF capability, you'll have more flexibility in the placement of your components. The MX-950 Aurora RF-IR Programmable Remote sends your commands via both infrared and radio-frequency signals. The RF signals travel through walls and doors, so you can keep your components in a cabinet or even in another room; this combo includes the MRF-300 Multi Zone Base Station with its integrated antenna, which provides up to 100 feet of range for any zone of your home. If you need RF control over just a single A/V zone, use the combo with MRF-250 Single Zone Base Station. The base stations' antennas direct your commands to your components.
Customize the universal remote control using the included software CD-ROM. Just connect the remote to your PC with the included USB cord for easy programming. The MX-950 Aurora RF-IR Programmable Remote is powered by the included rechargeable lithium-ion battery, which recharges automatically in the included charger base.
If you don't need the RF capabilities, the MX-950 Aurora remote is also available to be purchased separately. The MRF-300 Multi Zone Base Station can be purchased separately, as well.
