If you already own or plan to purchase an NextGen IR to RF to IR Remote Control Range Extender Kit, 433 MHz, you can use your existing IR remote control to control audio/video (A/V) components from up to 100 feet away, even through walls and doors. The kit converts the infrared signal from the (IR) remote control you are accustomed to and transforms it into a radio frequency (RF) signal, giving it longer range capabilities. Installation is simple; replace one of the batteries in your existing remote with this transmitter (a rechargeable battery fits inside of an AAA sized transmitter) and exchange the transmitter for a AAA battery in your remote. The included sleeve adapter can be used if the remote uses AA batteries. This kit only includes the ability to convert one remote control.
