Essential Info

Infrared (IR) remote controls have limited range and generally only work in the same room as the audio/video (A/V) component it controls. This IR to RF to IR Remote Control Range Extender Kit uses an internal transmitter that converts your remote's IR signal into a radio frequency (RF) signal, giving you the ability to control your components up to 100 feet away, through walls, floors, doors and windows. Simply slide one of the rechargeable batteries into the transmitter and switch that out with a battery in your remote control; it works with remotes using AA or AAA batteries (AA sleeve adapter included). When the remote control is used, the IR signal is converted to RF and is sent to a small, AC-powered receiver (RF base station), which is placed facing the components you wish to control. The receiver then converts the signals back to IR and sends them to your components, all in a fraction of a second. Ideal for home theater setups that have components behind closed doors, you have the freedom to move throughout your home and control components that are out of sight. This device operates on a 433 MHz RF frequency; it is also available in a 418MHz RF Frequency.

I was worried at 1st something would go wrong. I was wrong lol. The device works flawlessly. I use it to control my pioneer receiver from the backyard for a backyard audio system & even from the curb at the front of the house IT WORKS :D even better if ur device has a remote input like the mini stereo jack w ipods & headphones, get the cable & plug that in instead, messy free & reliable. High end audio recievers, some set top boxes & some tvs have this. HIGHLY recommend

Hello! First of all,thank-you for shipping to Canada. I received product in less than two weeks. After charging the batteries for a day,it was installed and running within ten minutes.
    DAVID -- scottsdale, AZ   3/8/2013
The device is excellent. Plug it in and now you can have a remote in another room and it works. In my case I have a cable box connected to an internal system to transmit throughout the house. With this device I now can use a remote in another room and have access via RF to the cable box and change the channel from a bedroom or office. Works great!
    JIM -- mayfield, PA   3/2/2013
Works great! I am now able to keep the cabinet door closed and still use my remote.
    LAURA -- commerce, MI   3/2/2013
Love it! Charged the battery, set it up, and it all worked the first try! I have a Comcast dvr and it works perfectly. I only wish it came with an extra battery as it dies within about 2 days and if I don't remember to recharge it we are left without the remote. I will be ordering an extra battery. We did a test and the remote can change the channel from the next room through the wall.
    NICHOLAS -- westlake, OH   2/3/2013
It worked well initially, but it started to pick up outside interference. After that it only worked intermittently. We had to disconnect it after that.
    DANIEL -- alto, NM   1/26/2013
    Does the job perfectly
GERHARD -- dobbs ferry, NY   1/3/2013
Seems to be a good product, easy to install and set up. Unfortunately, I never did get it to work. It seems the device does not work with the equipment and remote supplied by my cable company. Customer service was helpful in identifying the problem and the item was returned.
    DAVID -- papillion, NE   12/28/2012
This kit works great. Have been using it for about a month and haven't had to change a battery yet. Used to run home entertainment system in my lower level family room from my upstairs master closet. Very easy set-up.
    BARRY -- belleville, ON   12/6/2012
Absolutely miraculous! Does what it's supposed to with no fuss or bother.
ROBERT -- new york, NY   11/16/2012
It does exactly what it says it will do, the signal goes right through the closet door to the cable box. I can't speak as to how the batteries will last as I have only just installed the kit in a clients cable remote, but so far, so good.
    ROBERT -- simpsonville, SC   11/3/2012
    Works sporadically at best.
JOE -- amelia island, FL   10/28/2012
Easy to set up and works perfectly.
BENJAMIN -- new city, NY   10/15/2012
I was very skeptical that this device would work, but then I read all of the positive reviews so I took chance. It works very well. We don't change TV channels too often but still on the first battery.
    ERIC -- sedona, AZ   9/8/2012
Works as advertised. You do, however, need to watch where you point your remote to make the remote connection.
    DAN -- kannapolis, NC   8/23/2012
Works great, would recommend this product.
    PATRICIA -- omaha, NE   8/22/2012
The Remote Control Range Extender Kit arrived in about a week. We had had a similar extender sold by our cable company but it quite working after 1 1/2 years and the cable company had quit selling them. I searched the internet and found the Next IR to RF to IR Remote. The description was very close to what we had used. It was very easy to install and to this point it has functioned as described. At this point I would recommend the system.
    ED -- wilmette, IL   8/19/2012
Wonderful product. Allows me to have cable box in cabinet and TV on wall in kitchen. One tip: it seems like the cable for the IR emitter needs to be plugged in, even if it is not being used. I had trouble getting the box to recognize the broadcast signal until I just plugged the emitter in (but didn't attach it to the cable box.)
    GILLES -- mascouche, QC   7/20/2012
Received it in a few days and works exactly as advertised. My TV set is on the main floor on top of the fireplace and this device is used to remotely control my cable TV decoder (Cisco 4642HD) located in the basement.
RON -- west orang, NJ   7/20/2012
