But by connecting your cell phone and music player to the Link Cell Phone/Music Mixing Device, you'll be able to answer the phone hands free, listening to your caller through any set of headphones or earbuds. The Link Cell Phone/Music Mixing Device works with most cell phones with 3/32" headphone jacks.

The Link system allows you to listen to your music and use your cell phone hands-free through any headset, without ever touching either device. When a call is received, you can either eliminate the music entirely, or simply reduce the music volume with the inline music control on the Link console — you can even listen to both the music and the cell phone at the same time! Depending on your cell phone model, you can also place calls using the Link console while continuing to listen to your music. The Link system is fully supportive with the voice-dialing features of most cell phone models, allowing you to place calls through console module with the simple touch of the Link console button.
The standard audio jack connects to MP3 players, CD players, MiniDisc players, and radios. The Link console is the plastic housing located on the cord, just below the headphones. It houses the cell phone microphone and function button as well as the music volume control. The console can be clipped to your shirt near your chin for clear voice reception.
Use the in-line volume control on the Skullcandy Link Console to find a comfortable listening level of both music and voice together, or turn the volume all the way down to eliminate the music completely when taking a call. You can even set most cell phones to answer automatically after a certain number of rings, so you'll be connected automatically without pressing a single button.
The Link technology can access any set of features your phone is capable of. The function button may activate different functions depending on how long you hold the button down or the number of times the button is pressed. Such functions may include mute, connect/disconnect, last number dialed, and voice-activated dialing.
If you're still listening to music through ancient earphones or just want to upgrade, Link Cell Phone/Music Earbuds and Link Cell Phone/Music Headphones are also available and sold separately. These listening devices offer incredible high-fidelity sound, specifically designed for both digital and traditional music sources, and they come with a Link Console pre-attached, so you'll still be able to take advantage of all of the Link Cell Phone/Music Mixing Device's numerous features.
