How it WorksA built-in microphone in the headphone senses environmental noise. A noise-canceling circuit analyzes the environmental noise and sends an anti-noise wave with the inverse or opposite properties to the headphones. This reduces environmental noise to about 15 percent, making it possible to enjoy high-quality sound comfortably when traveling in trains and aircraft. Since you won't have to raise the volume in order to hear your music or radio station, you can enjoy listening without worrying about sound leaking out to bother your neighbor.
