False alarms are not only expensive (due to the high fines police departments charge for unnecessary visits), they're also dangerous. Like the boy who cried "Wolf," a couple of false alarms is all it takes before neighbors or police begin to disregard your alarm system as background noise, leaving your home a prime target for burglars! But this unit compares all detected signals against an internal library of more than 1,200 false and true alarm profiles. Only when the data matches that of an intruder will the PIR send an alarm signal to the control panel. This PIR essentially pays for itself after the first false alarm it prevents!
Installation is easy! Just hold the rear housing in place, give the attached mounting disk a quarter-turn with a screwdriver and the self-projecting, fast-anchoring wall pins will secure the PIR in place. And "snap-down" terminal strips allow you to connect wires without fastening screws. Just insert the stripped wires in each terminal and snap them down.
It offers a maximum coverage of 50' x 50' (adjustable) and comes with two different focal lenses: The "Far Field" lens detects large objects and ignores small targets nearby, and the "Near Field" lens captures large objects AND small targets nearby.
