Aleph America's WN8H 8-Channel DVR uses H.264 digital compression technology, giving it improved streaming capabilities and reduced space requirements for archiving recorded surveillance video. This model allows the user to install almost any hard drive up to 2 TB at 7200 rpm to fit your storage needs for an unparalleled level of security monitoring options. Networking access allows real-time live display or playback up to 8 cameras with 720p high definition from your video display, laptop, tablet, or smartphone. Aleph American offers smartphone monitoring with use of a Blackberry, iPhone or Android phone. This digital video recorder boasts multiple control methods; control from the front panel, IR remote controller, keyboard (sold separately), or USB mouse and has HDMI, VGA and composite connections to connect to your home system. The DVR has instant hot key playback and is network supported (Static IP, DHCP, DDNS). You are able to adjust your camera settings: privacy settings, camera lock, color settings, title display, virtual fence and smart motion search. It can also record in CIF resolution at 400/480 frames per second and special 2-channel 4CIF real - time recording. Up to 60 protocols are supported for PTZ cameras. This item is sold without a hard drive, which allows you to customize the unit to meet your storage requirements. This device will accommodate a hard drive up to 2TB at 7200 rpm. This DVR does not come with cameras so be sure to pair it with a high quality Aleph America Camera.Note:The hard-drive that you purchase for this DVR unit must run at a minimum of 7200 rpm.
