The Aleph America QT-40SL Quad Tech Intrusion Detector with Security Light is an indoor motion detector that provides high quality PIR(Passive InfraRed) and Microwave security at outstanding value. PIR devices can detect a person moving into or through a detection zone with high reliability. The slightest positive or negative thermal radiation change in contrast to a background triggers the sensor element. There is no interference between neighboring units due to the passive nature of the detection principle. The use of differential or dual-channel sensor technology and advanced digital signal processing reduce false alarms caused by turbulence. Similarly, precision optics accurately define the field of view, allowing consistent and long-range coverage. The Quad Tech Intrusion Detector features Qualified Motion Analysis (QMA), rock solid RFI immunity, and dual slope temperature compensation. The detector also features multi-function LED with ambient temperature detection and self dimming LED. Aleph's unique "QT" signal processing evaluates PIR and Microwave information while factoring in ambient temperature and light for superior "Quad-Tech" performance. Optional 100 lb Animal Immunity lens included.

The QT Series LED alarm indicator includes an automatic brightness function. In order to allow for a less noticeable installation, LED brightness is reduced as ambient room light level drops. The LED can be fully disabled by removing the LED jumper.
