An IR repeater system is designed for home theaters and allows an infrared (IR) signal to be sent from your remote control, to an IR receiver out to an IR emitter through a connecting block, to remotely control up components located behind closed doors of a cabinet or closet, in a rack mount system or in another room. Ideal for receiver-based multi-room systems, the Calrad 92-159 In-Wall Designer Style 3-Port IR Connecting Block can power up to 9 IR emitters. Connect up to 3 emitters to each of the emitter jacks labeled 1-3. Multiple receivers can also connect to the rear terminal block in a parallel configuration. This product includes a single gang Decora-style wall plate and a 12V DC power supply. To build a complete IR repeater system, you will need to add Calrad or other industry standard IR emitters and receivers.
