The Calrad 40-720PHD converter allows you to take the composite video or S-video feed, and analog stereo audio feed, coming from any source component and change that signal into a HDMI output. This is the perfect solution for taking content from an old source component and being able to watch it on your new HDTV which may not have a composite video or S-video input. This converter also accepts a 3.5mm analog audio input. BY combing both the video and audio into the converter, you can output multiple feeds into a single HDMI cable, reducing the cable clutter around your home theater. Simply connect a composite video and/or S-Video cable from your source component into the converter (and an RCA to 3.5mm audio cable if appalicable), then connect an HDMI cable between the converter and your HDTV, and lastly connect the power supply to the converter and plug it in - that's all there is too it!
