If you have an awkward or difficult location for the HDMI connection on an audio video (AV) high-definition (HD) component or HDTV, this simple adapter might just be the solution. The adapter changes the position of the HDMI cable jack you need to access by 90 degrees, allowing you a different connection point for more convenient access to your HDMI connection. Important Note Regarding the Installation Position

For a Horizontally Positioned HDMI Port: When inserting the adapter, if the tapered side of the male connector is at the bottom and the flat side of the male connector is at the top, the female connector will point up. If the tapered side of the male connector is at the top and the flat side of the male connector is at the bottom, the female connector will point down.

For a Vertically Positioned HDMI Port: When inserting the connector, if the tapered side of the male connector on the left and the flat side of the male connector is on the right, the female connector will point to the right. If the tapered side of the male connector is on the right and the flat side of the male connector is on the left, the female connector will point to the left.
