Essential Info
The Calrad 10-117 Toslink Optical Audio Signal Amplifier Adapter is designed to correct standard signal loss problems with longer runs of Optical audio signals. Buy using this active (powered) in-line adapter, you can connect two Toslink Optical Audio cables (sold separately), allowing you to extend original cable for additional 20 meters. To use the Amplifier, simply connect a Toslink cable (no more than 5 metes in length) coming from a source component to the input on the Amplifier, and a second Toslink cable (up to 20 meters in length) to the output of the Adapter, then plug the adapter in. This unit minimizes optical signal loss when long cable runs are used to connect optical digital audio devices.
