The Calrad 40-UE02 4-Port USB Hub and Cat5e Balun/Extender allows you to increase the transmission distance for four USB 2.0 connections up to 150 meters. Most of today's computers and modern AV equipment have USB connections for various applications, and with the use of this balun/extender, you can esnure virtually any USB connection is possible, regardless of their locations in your home. The communication tales place over inexpensive cat. 5 cable (sold separately), which is commonly used as a data line. With many new home pre-wired with Cat. 5 cable you can take maximum advantage of this existing wiring or run your own wiring to make a long distance USB connection. LED light indicators are built in to assist with making your installation and confirmation of transmission a breeze. Transmitter, receiver and power supply are all included.
