You don't have to spend hundreds on pricey motion sensors and bulky outdoor color cameras in order to keep an eye on your home. Digital D-Cam 601 PIR motion detector comes in a new slim design, and it houses an almost invisible camera hole underneath the surface, making it ideal for covert surveillance since the presence of a camera is undetectable to the human eye. The D-Cam 600 even has an integrated high-quality microphone for audio monitoring. A 12-Volt DC 500mA Power Supply is required and sold separately.

The Digital D-Cam 601's PIR sensor covers a wide 90-degree field of view and looks out 60 feet. It has adjustable sensitivity and pulse count to reduce the chance of false of alarms. The device's bi-directional temperature compensation feature helps it to operate effectively in harsh environments.
The Digital D-Cam 601 has two dry contacts (relays). One dry contact is normally open (NO), and can be used to activate a time-lapse VCR (sold separately), especially convenient if you only want to capture critical surveillance moments instead of continuous, uncontrolled recording over long periods. A user-adjustable timer can keep the contact closed for periods between 10 and 100 seconds, avoiding sudden disconnections, even when the contact is closed for one or more consecutive time periods. The other dry contact is normally closed (NC) and is usually used as a regular alarm PIR detector output for a hardwired security system.
The advanced signal-processing CCD color camera built into the Color Digital D-Cam 601provides a high-quality picture with high density. It offers a high resolution of 380 lines, an automatic gain control (AGC) circuit that provides good picture quality in low-light conditions, and automatic shutter speed control (from 1/60 to 1/100,000). It also offers full automatic white balance using TTL tracking, or manual light balance if you prefer. Low-light conditions aren't a problem for this covert camera: It will capture images even in almost total darkness (0.5 Lux).
The D-Cam 500 comes in a different design. This unit works similarly but comes without the mounting bracket.
