PROS: Love the variable sound sensitive automatic on mode. Monitor up to three cameras is nice. Video brightness control is usefull during day/night use. Night vision mode is satisfactory. Cons: Too small screen on monitor. Video quality is not too good on external TV. Nice product. Willing to pay more for video quality and an inch bigger screen. Three out of five stars.

Great product. My wife loved this item. It will be very handy when our second child arrives.

Excellent device: very easy to set up and get running immediately. Performs well. Some snow or scan line interference depending on where the receiver is placed but often one can move it around to get a better picture. Receiver works in every room in the house. Construction is good. Although made of plastic the transmitter and receiver feel solid. One area of improvement would be a better wall mount bracket or a crib mounting bracket that allows for easier placement of the camera/microphone unit -- perhaps a unit that articulates. And I also agree with another customer that the video screen is limited in its angle of view: one must be directly in front to see the image. Oh yes, we also found that our wireless network is inoperable while the transmitter is on. So we unplug it to use the computer. But this is usually during the day or when baby is in the same room so that is not too bad. That said, for new parents there is nothing like the reassurance that baby is Ok. Sound alone is not as comforting and at times baby noises can even be alarming. A visual confirmation is worth every penny. And the ability to view the baby in a completely darkened room is really a nice feature. Since we only peek at the video from time to time or when we hear a sound that requires investigation, the limited field of view at the monitor is less irritating.

Definitely worth getting for a baby -- seeing worth MUCH more than hearing. Plusses are included AC adapters for both camera and monitor, and an included AV cord for hooking the monitor to any video-in capable device. Excellent infra-red night vision. Minuses: Short battery life, camera mounting to a crib is awkward (I made my own mount), off-axis monitor viewing is poor. Suggested Improvements: Charging cradle with beefier batteries for monitor, auto color/night vision switch, more flexible camera mounting/aiming system.
