The Intelix DIGI-HD-1X4 High-Definition HDMI Twisted Pair Amplifier seamlessly distributes one HDMI input to four (for HDMI only), or eight (for HDMI and IR) twisted pair output connections. The built-in twisted pair extenders provide cabling distances up to 300 feet when used with compatible Intelix twisted pair receivers, such as the DIGI-HD-UHR2, DIGI-HD-IR2, and DIGI-HD-XR (each sold separately).

When distributing HDMI audio and video, the distance it takes to travel from one room to another through the walls and ceiling is longer than normal HDMI cable runs, so this product is designed to send the HDMI signal over twisted pair cabling. The DIGI-HD-1X4 requires a single Cat 5e or Cat 6 cable (sold separately) to be connected to a twisted pair receiver.

When distributing HDMI audio and video and IR over twisted pair cabling, the DIGI-HD-1X4 requires two Cat 5e or Cat 6 cables. IR is transmitted from the remote destination, through the compatible Intelix twisted pair receiver, over the twisted pair cable, and out of the IR OUT port on the DIGI-HD-1X8 to the source equipment.

The DIGI-HD-1X4 supports 3D, is HDCP compliant, and features proprietary Intelix HDshak processing, including bandwidth limiting and custom EDID configuration and emulation.
