Many newer homes are installing data lines throughout, for easy access to home networks from any room. But this doesn't mean you have to suffer through looking at ugly external boxes coming out of your walls! For fast, simple connections of multiple data network lines, the Dual Data Wall Plate provides an easy alternative to traditional snap port wall plates, offering a wide stable base and self-mapping port assignments. This ChannelPlus structured wire termination wall plate consists of two cat. 5e RJ-45 connectors in Decora®-compatible design for quick termination and installation of cat. 5e wire (sold separately).

The Dual Data Wall Plate has clear, color-coded indicators, for installation without connection errors. To install your cat. 5e wire, strip no more than 2 inches of jacket from the cable. Lay the wires down according to the color coding on the wall plate and seat them into the 110 punch down block, maintaining a wire pair twist to within half an inch of the connector. Use a punch-down tool to seat the wires fully and trim the excess flush with the connector.
The Dual Data Wall Plate is also available in ivory. Additional structured wire termination wall plates are also available, providing a fast, easy way to terminate all structured wire for data, telephone, video and control signals. The Data/Telephone Wall Plate provides a single cat. 5 RJ-45 and four RJ-25 telephone jacks, while the Telephone/Coax Wall Plate offers four-line breakout for telephone and two knockouts for use with coax barrel connectors. The Data/Telephone/Coax Wall Plate provides two-line breakout, one cat. 5e RJ-45 and two knockouts for use with coax barrel connectors. All are available in white or ivory; choose whichever wall plate best suits your needs.
