Essential Info
If you want to use a modulator to view surveillance footage on a specific UHF or CATV channel from any television in your home, you'll need access to one or more empty channels. If you can't find an empty channel, you can block CATV channels 75-80 and off-air UHF TV channels 24-29, thus allowing modulators to insert a channel without interference. With this notch filter in place, you can create two modulated channels (76 & 78) on CATV and two channels (25 & 27) on UHF.

How it WorksOnce installed on the incoming coax line, this device filters out channels to make room for modulated channels. In addition, the notch filter blocks the modulated signals from being broadcast back into the coax. Notch filters are also available that block CATV channels 64-70 and UHF 14-19 for 3 modulated channels and CATV channels 70-74 and UHF channels 19-23 for 2 modulated channels.
