Essential Info

This splitter-combiner allows two-way combining or splitting of TV antenna or cable signals. Each splitter is DC passive, which allows passage of low-voltage signals along the coax. Each splitter is housed in a high-quality casting and finish. Inside each splitter-combiner, a quality PCB is mounted that contains the internal components. This Channel Vision Two-Way Splitter-Combiner features low insertion loss.

Accessories allow you to professionally complete your system. Use 75-Ohm Terminators on all signal outputs that are not connected to a television or VCR. Un-terminated outputs can cause a 'herringbone' pattern to appear on some channels of the other sets connected to the splitter. These slow moving, wavy lines will drive you crazy and diminish the performance of the video system. If you are using the coax lines to carry DC signals (for power or IR signals), use the DC IR Signal Block on output lines that connect directly to a TV set or VCR (and not to a camera or IR splitter). The DC Block prevents the DC signals from being shorted inside the tuner of the TV or VCR.

Have Been Using Channel Vision Brand Splitters for over 10 Years. They are DC passing so they work with IR over Coax kits from Xantech.

WILLIAM -- new canaan, CT   5/14/2009
Works as recommended e.g. to split the street side incoming cable between cable modem and on-ward TV distribution using amplified 8-way splitter.
ROB -- american fork, UT   11/15/2008
This is a good splitter/combiner, but it does not work well with the Xtra Link. A cheaper splitter worked better for me.
    CHARLES -- kunkletown, PA   1/7/2008
    Very professional and prompt service
    ANDREW -- bethlehem, CT   11/23/2007
Really just a splitter, works fine.
DAVID -- ponca city, OK   10/4/2007
Doesn't have enough power to cover my whole 1500 sq ft house. I even have the bi-directional splitters everywhere.
    MERLE -- austin, TX   6/21/2007
What can you say? It's a splitter and just works. I use it to split the incoming cable line with one leg going straight to the cable modem and the other leg going to the ChannelVision 8-way amplified splitter. Works like a charm.
    RICK -- midland, MI   5/12/2007
Very pleased with the product. Performed exactly as promised.
    NICK -- houston, TX   4/21/2007
