Requires Two UnitsTwo units are required to complete a typical installation; one at the sender (camera, VGA-TV converter, or any audio/video source) and another at the receiver (DVR, monitor, modulator or display device). Please note that the baluns are each sold separately.
How Baluns WorkTwo of the eight conductors found in Cat 5 cables are used to carry each signal. Line noise, cross talk and attenuation are extremely low, nearly matching the performance of shielded coax cable. Extra, unused conductors can even be used for carrying power to the device or as a phone line without degrading the signal quality.
Connecting the BalunsConnecting the 7805AT is as simple as twist locking the BNC connector on one side and tying down two of the eight twisted pair wires under the screw terminals on the reverse.. This balun is also available with an RJ45 connector.
