Requires Two UnitsTwo units are required to complete a typical installation; one at the sender (camera, VGA-TV converter, or any audio/video source) and another at the receiver (DVR, monitor, modulator or display device). Please note that each balun is sold separately.
How Baluns WorkTwo of the eight conductors found in Cat 5 cables are used to carry each signal. Line noise, cross talk and attenuation are extremely low, nearly matching the performance of shielded coax cable. Extra, unused conductors can even be used for carrying power to the device or as a phone line without degrading the signal quality.
Connecting the BalunsConnecting the 7805A is as simple as twist locking the BNC connector on one side and snapping in a cat 5 cable to the RJ45 jack on the reverse. This balun is also available with a screw terminal connection.
