  • Universal hole pattern supports dishes 18"-36"
  • Eliminate exposed exterior wiring

Essential Info

If you've wanted to install a satellite dish but have avoided doing so because of the unsightly appearance of the cords on the house, as well as because of the inherent damage done to the roof, you can now rest easily. The CommDeck is a communications and satellite dish mounting system that provides a weather-tight dish-mounting platform designed to look like most roof vents. Whether you're pre-wiring a new home or completing dish or antenna installation today, the CommDeck eliminates the need for exposed wiring or cabling while preventing damage to your roof or siding. RG6 messengered cables are required for installation and are sold separately. A satellite dish is also sold separately.

Protect your most important investment, your home, with the CommDeck, a satellite dish mounting system designed to provide superior strength without damaging your roof. Tested in 100-mph winds, the CommDeck provides a weather-tight seamless-construction mounting platform that prevents mold caused by leaking roofs. The base sits underneath your existing shingles, so there will be no exposed holes in the roof.

Made of stamped 18 gauge galvanized steel, the Commdeck Satellite Dish Mounting System provides for easy installation and removal of the satellite dish at any time. Its universal hole pattern supports dishes 18" to 36" in size.

Add a Deck Adapter (sold separately) to your CommDeck satellite dish mounting system, and you'll be able to mount an off-air antenna on your deck without the need for a tri-pod.

Also available are two dish-mount systems that require no shingle cutting. Choose either the 8-inch or the 12-inch version.

Hey homeowner! if you want to have none cables hanging from your satellite dish get this perfect item.

Kind of funny to see reviews from people that don't have any experience with the product. That's not a review, it's an opinion, even if an expert one. BTW, the instructions for this and the retrodeck clearly state that the center be screwed into a truss, so I'm not sure where this comment keeps coming from. Installed in that way, and for a smaller dish, I don't see a big problem here. As far as roof penetrations: this is nothing compared to the roof penetrations required for a solar installation, for example.

As a professional installer with over 3,500 satisfied customers, I would have to agree with dish man. I see too many things that can go wrong here, the least of which being the wind and the weight of the dish causing it to loosen in time as well as the potential for leaks and water damage.my business, Sat-com technology, has satisfied customers for 1 reason,I don't recommend anything to a customer I wouln't put on my house, and this wouldn't go on my house, just my opinion.
    dish man -- seattle   1/9/2010
AS a comment was already made about the wind factor, this is my concern as a satellite installer. The dish needs to be bolted into a truss or stud so that it will remain sturdy durring wind storms. If you do not want to put holes in your roof I suggest you mont it on a wall, pole in the ground or under eve mount. A dish should never be mounted over a living area and should always be caulked to prevent leackage. if nothing else is workable go ahead and use this product or similar ones.

After 2.5 yrs I'm finally having problems with this thing. The metal plate the bracket bolts to now flexes in the wind allowing the dish to rock enough to get a really choppy video in the wind now. :

Would give it only 3.5 to 4 stars. Love how the wires are routed through the attic. However, had an HD upgrade from DirectTV, and their 5 LNB dish is much larger than my original. After installing the new dish on top of this system, it still wobbled a bit. I get high winds where I''m at. So also had to installed a bracket (provided by DirectTv installer) to firmly secure the dish mount.
    hdtv_md -- san francisco, CA   1/31/2008
Great product. BUT, the Winegard DS-2076 76-cm/30" dish does *NOT* fit. The included plate is too large for the Commdeck. The Winegard comes with a "universal" plate that is too big. I don''t know if this is a problem with Winegard or Commdeck. Very annoying.

EASY directions & installation. Quality, heavy steel construction.
    NICHOLAS -- torrance, CA   11/1/2006
This is a great hard mount which can be integrated into your roof system with out compromising its integrity. Easy to install and set up. Easy to have added whether its a new roof or an existing one.
