Essential Info
Enjoy the convenience of dimming the lights, adjusting the temperature and heating up the hot tub just by turning on mood music! Set it up easily with this audio-controlled relay. When combined with an intelligent controller with a digital input, like the Stargate (#1240), TimeCommander Plus (#1200) or HomeVision (#1350), you can activate practically any response just by turning on an A/V device. For example, throw a DVD into your player and hit power, and your home theater system can automatically go into movie-watching mode! Runs on 24VDC power supply (sold separately).

More Info
|
This incredibly small unit works by sensing line level audio signals on one channel and then triggering a double-pole, double-throw relay. The sensitivity is adjustable for your application with a multi-turn potentiometer. The release delay, the amount of time the relay waits before switching back to the primary audio source, is adjustable from a half-second to five seconds, making it ideal for voice applications. Additional built-in options include manual triggering via a momentary contact, like a push-to-talk switch and the ability to control up to four additional modules.
Measuring only 3" x 1.5", the Audio Controlled Relay can be placed almost anywhere with the included double-sided foam tape and Velcro strips. The relays can handle up to 250VDC at 2 Amps (be sure to take all safety precautions if working at that level), or 60-watts of speaker power.
Don't Forget the Power Supply! Because this relay uses an uncommon power supply that may be difficult to find at stores, we recommend using the 24VDC power supplies listed below (each sold separately). Made by the same manufacturer as the relay itself, these power supplies are fully UL-approved. If you plan on only using one relay, use the 400mA version (#7796PS4). If you plan on powering one or more relays, use the 1000mA version (#7796PS1).
