Essential Info
Does the homeowner's association in your neighborhood frown on having multiple satellite dishes on your roof? Now you can feed multiple satellite TV receivers from one central dish with these Active MultiSwitches. They're perfect for large homes with many TVs, or for multi-tenant housing structures where it's not practical or possible to install more than one dish. But don't think all multiswitches do is distribute signals! They also amplify signals, ensuring clear pictures at each receiver, even over long cable runs! Each model has an attached power supply that's compatible with 100 to 240V systems.

More Info

These multiswitches can distribute signals from up to two dual-LNB satellite dishes, or a single dish with two dual LNBs attached. For example if you're a DIRECTV subscriber who gets DIRECTV HDTV, local broadcast networks or DIRECTV PARA TODOS™ programming from the 110° or 119° satellites, these multiswitches will be able to deliver all those channels to multiple satellite receivers.
The multiswitches are equipped with four LNB inputs (two for each LNB on your dish), a cable/antenna input and, depending on the model, up to 16 outputs. And because they can combine the cable or antenna signals with those from the satellite dish, you'll be able to receive local off-air and satellite channels over a single run of coaxial cable, making installation a breeze!
Expand Your Dish Beyond 16 Receivers Need to distribute satellite TV signals to more than 16 receivers, say for a multi-tenant building? It's not a problem with our 5-in/8-out Cascadable Active MultiSwitch (#77908). Because it's cascadable meaning that it can be connected to other cascadable multiswitches in a daisy chain fashion you can connect a single dish to 16, 24 or 32 receivers, or more if necessary. With more and more satellite television devices requiring dual inputs (i.e. TiVo, UltimateTV and Replay), we recommend the cascadable model to prevent being outdated in the future. Since the cascadable model isn't amplified, you'll need a dedicated amplifier (#7797A) installed anywhere on the line. Amplifier sold separately.
Installation Note: For every receiver using cable or antenna channels, you'll need a diplexer (#7815) to separate the combined signals.
