Install the included PVR Plus software to begin. You'll then be able to select from four functions: TVR, MPEG Encoder, Video Editor, and DVD Maker. The TVR turns your PC into a full-featured video recorder. Convert AVI files into MPEG videos using the MPEG Encoder. The Video Editor makes editing MPEG videos easy, and the DVD Maker allows you to create a VCD, SVCD or DVD that can be played on your PC or DVD player.
Record live TV to your computer's hard drive. You can even schedule recording in advance, so you'll never miss your favorite shows again. With the TVR application, you can pause live TV and then continue from where you left off using its Time Shift function. Once recording is finished, you can use the unit's sleep timer to shut your system down after the amount of time you designate, up to 300 minutes. When you're done recording, you don't have to leave the couch: The Xpert TV-Mini TV Cam includes an IR remote control, so you can use it to shut down your PC. The Xpert TV Mini TV Cam will also save snapshots of TV images.
The Xpert TV Mini TV Cam isn't limited to recording television, though. An additional AV/S-video input is included for connection to other video sources, such as your DVD player, VHS, or camcorder.
Not sure what to record or what to watch? The Xpert TV Mini TV Cam's software lets you preview multiple channels at once using a multi-image screen or a picture-in-picture function.
The Xpert TV Mini TV Cam has numerous other applications. If you use MSN or Yahoo Messenger to send instant online text messages to your friends, you can use this web cam to let your friends see you while you chat, a feature that also comes in handy for Net Meetings. With a live Internet connection the Xpert TV Mini TV Cam even features on-line help, so you can receive assistance at any time.
