Essential Info
If you have an older DVD player or game console with component video outputs, you can now connect to direct view and projection displays, even if they require RGB inputs. The Component-to-RGB Video Converter automatically senses the resolution of the source and flawlessly converts it to the RGB mode the projector or TV requires. Use this converter for such sources as cable boxes, satellite and off-air set top boxes, and HD VCRs. Standard VGA cable or VGA-to-RGB breakout cable required but sold separately.

The Component-to-RGB Video Converter converts component video on three RCA jacks to RGB video on a VGA connector by auto-detecting resolutions such as 480i and 480p as well as other resolutions. Use a standard VGA cable or VGA-to-BNC breakout cable to connect the RGB output. Select from three different sync modes, depending on the input configuration of the video display (RGBHV, RGsB or RGBS).
The Component-to-RGB Video Converter is not a format converter. It passes the horizontal and vertical synchronization timings and pixel content to the outputs without modification. A 480p component video source used in conjunction with a 9A65 requires the video monitor to accept a 480p RGB input resolution.
The RGB output on the Component-to-RGB Video Converter can be connected using a standard VGA cable, or, if the display is equipped with BNC inputs, a VGA-to-RGB breakout cable can be used. The source output resolution must be compatible with the display input capability.
