Overall I think this is a fairly good camera. It is, however, different in look than the current photo (3/8/2012). The lens housing area diameter is accurate but the diameter does NOT decrease towards the mount as shown in the photo. It remains the same diameter all the way back. Check the photos on Amazon I posted. Not a big deal but worth mentioning since you will notice it upon opening the box. As for the picture quality, it's a nice wide angle view with good low light capability. Definitely not HD quality, but you get what you pay for. I have mine mounted in a vehicle under the rear view mirror on the windshield, sending a signal to a 12V DVR in the back of the car. It gives a wide angle view of the road and a fair image quality of whats going on while driving. You can't read license plates even if they are right in front of you, but it will show what happened if you are in a collision. You can however see traffic light colors and other important things. The quality may be affected by the DVR I purchased -but I did hook it up to my big screen TV before putting it in the car and the image quality I would still consider "ok". OK color during the day, B/W at night. Edges are not crisp but acceptable.

VERY wide field of view with very little fisheye distortion. Perfect for close target monitoring like your front door. Not a night camera so you will want residual lighting such as a street lamp or porch light.
