I have a "CCRadio" and live in the mountains. This am anntenae helps but, only when the atmospheric conditios let it.

I have two of the TERK AM loops, as someone is always borrowing one from me. It is very selective so has to be tuned slowly, which is a good thing, and is directional, so you rotate for strongest signal. That is good too, as you can turn it to null some types of interference in some cases. It won''t always get rid of noise, but if the AM radio is weak in reception overall, it does boost the signal level quite a bit when inductively coupled to the AM antenna in the AM radio(that is, sat directly next to the AM receiver) This is most practical with small portable radios. Makes it possible to get some stations I want when the signal is just too weak with the volume turned up. You could build your own if you are an electronic genius like me!
