Traditional keypads connect to a security system and/or an electronic door strike, requiring a special code to activate the alarm or unlock a door. The Enforcer Stand-Alone Proximity Reader acts as an alternative to having users remember PIN codes and makes it even easier by with the use of a simple access card swipe. You can protect your home or business by choosing who can have access to your property and prevent unwanted visitors from coming in. The reader comes in a waterproof housing making it the ideal choice for an outdoor installation. The package includes 10 access cards, and the reader can be programmed to accept up to 100 unique user cards. The output relay can be set for a time between 1 to 180 seconds or it can be set to "Toggle" mode .Attractive tri-color wave shaped LEDs status bar indicates proximity reader's mode and status: Blue - On/Valid Card Indicator; Green - Programming Mode; Red - Invalid Card. An egress input allows users to exit the protected area without using the proximity reader and a built in buzzer is programmable for audible confirmation or silent mode. The Proximity Reader provides an inexpensive, flexible solution for controlled access and combines simple installation, quick programming, and high reliability.

Ingress Protection Rating
Ingress Protection (IP) is rating for electronic products as it relates to the amount of sealing they have against the entry of solid and liquid objects. Complete details of this standard can be obtained from the IEC. This uniform and widely acknowledged classification system provides equipment designers and specifying agents with a convenient and reliable method of comparing relative levels of sealing between competing (connector) products. In its simplest form, the classification system consists of the letters "IP" followed by two separate digits, which denote increasingly greater sealing from solid objects and from water.
The Enforcer Stand-Alone Proximity Reader has a rating of IP67. The number '6' refers to the degree of protection against access to hazardous parts and ingress of solid objects, 6 is the highest rating at "dust tight; complete protection against contact". The number '7' refers to the degree of protection against the ingress of water, 7 is the next to highest level "Ingress of water in harmful quantity shall not be possible when the enclosure is immersed in water under defined conditions of pressure and time (up to 1 m of submersion)."
