    Other Features
The split-glass design stops IR reflection; two separate panes of glass - one covering the lens, the other covering the LEDs - are separated by the lens hood to stop the LED's infrared light from reflecting off the glass and back into the lens. With the DC auto iris varifocal lens, the focal length of the lens can be adjusted from 5mm to 50mm via a convenient adjustment screw under the camera. This allows the camera to be set to cover a wide area or focus in on a specific target. The power and video cables are concealed in the mount between the camera and the mounting base in order to protect the cables and provide for a more attractive installation.

Purchased camera to provide coverage for extended Parking Lot area. Pros: Camera has ability to create great picture even in bad lighting situations such as Direct Sunlight, and high intensity flood lights. Easy to set Zoom & Focus. Going to buy additional cameras to replace some existing cameras. Since camera can run on 12VDC and 24AC power it can replace any exiting camera Cons: Even on sale camera is expensive when purchasing multiple.

This isn't so much a review as it is more raising of a concern for wet environments like Seattle. This product is described as IP 66 rated, but the manual says not to install the camera where it would be exposed to rain. IP 66 is a pretty strong water-resistant rating, so why does the manufacturer advise against installing in a potentially rainy location? IP 66 can withstand a torrential downpour easily. Is it a corrosion issue?
