Good for a little larger gap or for a door that doesn't fit so tightly (has a little wiggle or slop) to prevent an accidental alarm trip when the wind blows.

I used this instead of the very bulky garage door contact sensor. Works perfect with I/O linc. I configured both ways: turn on a lamp when the door is open, or turn on when door is closed.
