Essential Info
Your home or office should be protected by video surveillance. This indoor/outdoor bullet camera can be mounted anywhere it's convenient. The 6mm lens yields a 53° viewing angle, which will give you detailed images of people at about 25' or a broader view out to 100' (the limit of its IR LEDs). Its construction is rugged enough to withstand life outdoors. There are 36 infrared (IR) LEDs, giving a range up to 100 feet of visibility even in total darkness. Powered by 12VDC with a recommended minimum current rating of 1/2 Amp, as supplied by a Enforcer 12VDC 500mA Power Supply (sold separately). You'll also need a video/power cable. This camera is also available in a lower resolution, 420 TV Lines, version.

Connect to a Digital Video Recorder Old video surveillance systems used to require a remote access system, a camera multiplexer; a time-lapse VCR, and an unlimited supply of videotapes for remote viewing and storing video from a multi-camera system. Now you can get the capabilities of all those products in one with a Digital Video Recorder (DVR). By connecting up to four cameras to a DVR, you will be able to record and review video footage of activity around your property. You can even remotely access your video footage using a Network Digital Video Recorder (NDVR).
IR LEDs Infrared (IR) cameras can pick up images in total darkness. Most IR cameras send out a reflective IR light emitting diode (LED) illuminator which can not be seen by the human eye. This light reacts with an object which in turn puts out a low frequency image. That image can then be picked up by the camera in low-light and no light areas. The greater the number of IR LED illuminators, the greater the power of the camera. The Indoor/Outdoor Bullet Camera has 36 IR LEDs, projecting up to 100 feet.
Lux Lux rating is the amount of minimum illumination that a camera can have and still pick up an image, 0 being the lowest, or no light. So the closer the lux rating is to 0, the better the camera will operate in no light or low light situations. The Indoor/Outdoor Bullet Camera can pick up images in 0 lux when its IR LEDs are on.
Weatherproof Products have made claims over the years to be "weather resistant," "waterproof," or other phrases that may or may not mean the same thing to you as to the person making the claim. In order to eliminate this vagueness, there is now an international standard rating scale used for guaging a product's resistance to the elements. This camera's IP66 rating is the highest for products not used underwater; it will be completely protected against ingress of any dust particles, and water from powerful jets will have no harmful effects.
Resolution Resolution is the amount of horizontal TV lines that make up a picture, so the higher the number of the resolution, the better clarity your picture will have. Note that the monitor or recording device you use must have a resolution equal to or greater than the resolution of the camera, as it will do you no good to have a camera that can output in 540 lines of resolution but have a monitor or recording devices that only picks up images at 300 lines of resolution. The Indoor/Outdoor Bullet Camera has 540 lines of resolution, better than broadcast television.
