Essential Info
This Multi-Room S-Video Cat.5 Distribution System is a complete audio, video, IR over Cat.5 transmission system, which is compatible with both NTSC and PAL video standards. The two-piece Multi-Room S-Video Cat.5 Distribution System consists of a rack mountable 1U transmitter with inputs for S-video, composite, digital and analog audio along with a IR emitter jack and RJ-45 output connector. Each input has auto-termination loop-thru for connecting a local video/audio system. The miniature in-room receiver has one RJ-45 input and one each of S-video, composite, digital and analog audio outputs along with a 12 volt IR target input jack.

Transmitter Can Adjust for Long Cable Runs
The system can transmit either composite video or S-video and either Pro-logic encoded analog stereo or Digital audio. The transmitter can be adjusted to compensate for Cat.5 cable losses up to 1000 feet. In addition an IR target can be used with the receiver to control the remote source.
Easy Wiring
The Multi-Room S-Video Cat.5 Distribution transmitter and receiver communicate over a single run of Cat.5 wire. A back panel control is on the transmitter to allow compensation for any length of wire up to 1000 feet. Choose between s-video input or composite video. The Multi-Room S-Video Cat.5 Distribution System has its own connector for each — no need for a converter plug.
Universal Audio
The Multi-Room S-Video Cat.5 Distribution System accepts either left and right analog audio or digital audio. It can handle either coax or fiber optic (TOSLINK) digital audio. When using the fiber optic cable, the SVC-10 converts this signal and puts it on the coax digital loop out connector. When using analog audio, the Multi-Room S-Video Cat.5 Distribution System will maintain Dolby Pro-logic® encoding if present.
Loop Out Connectors and Active Terminate Feature
All Multi-Room S-Video Cat.5 Distribution System connectors have built in loop through connectors for a second device such as a local monitor. The Multi-Room S-Video Cat.5 Distribution System terminates the inputs into a 75 ohm load. When a second cable is connected to the output, the Multi-Room S-Video Cat.5 Distribution System automatically disconnects this termination to allow the second device to provide the termination.
IR Control
Standard 12 volt IR targets and emitters can be used with the Multi-Room S-Video Cat.5 Distribution System to allow control of the source from the remote location. The Multi-Room S-Video Cat.5 Distribution System can be mounted in standard 19" racks by attaching the included mounting ears. Remove the rubber feet on the bottom of the unit to ensure clearance when inserted into a rack.
Expandable up to Eight (8) Receivers
The Multi-Room S-Video Cat.5 Distribution System can be expanded up to eight receivers (#7699R) with the Video Distribution Expansion Module (#7699M). The Video Distribution Expansion Module has one transmitter input and outputs for 8 receivers so you can distribute S-video or Composite video up to 8 different rooms in your house. Video distribution has never been this easy or affordable.
