Essential Info
Most array microphones have a fixed "listen" direction, severely limiting a speaker's range of motion. But the Acoustic Magic Voice Tracker Array Microphone automatically locates and electronically steers toward you when you talk, leaving you free to move around during a speech or teleconference, thus letting you use visual aids or pace with ease. The Voice Tracker works like a headset to improve signal-to-noise ratios in two ways. First, its digital signal processor creates a listening beam that focuses on the talker and spatially filters noise from other directions. Second, its proprietary noise reduction algorithms filter out background noise and reverberations that are present in the acoustic environment. Several talkers can take part in teleconferencing, thanks to the Voice Tracker, since it rapidly steers to the individual participants as they put their two cents in. The Voice Tracker also has a special feature that desensitizes the microphone to sounds coming from preselected directions, so even with construction work going on next door, your voice will come through clearly.

The Two-Way USB Adapter allows you to avoid having to plug your microphone into a 3.5mm jack. Many laptops do not have a line in jack, or the output of the Voice Tracker may be too strong, causing clipping, which will ruin speech recognition. For these situations, we offer the Two-Way USB adapter (#7668a), which is specially modified to reduce the signal by a factor of 10 (as well as digitizing the signal), eliminating the risk of clipping. The USB adapter also eliminates the need to have a soundcard.
Add a Two-Way USB Adapter to take advantage of HomeSeer Automation Software (both sold separately): Plug the adapter into your computer's USB port, then use voice commands to control your home automation system, whether you're there or not.
The Acoustic Magic Voice Tracker Array Microphone uses an eight-element, 18-inch long array for maximum range.
