Overview
|
- Converts analog or digital audio into stereo or mono MP3 streams
- Control via home automation software or web browser
- Easy integration into existing IT infrastructure
Essential Info
Take advantage of almost unlimited music sources with the Instreamer, which converts analog and digital audio from such sources as tape, tuner, and CD/minidisc players into MP3 streams and serves the network just like an ordinary Internet radio station. The Instreamer has a local web server built in. It can be easily managed from anywhere on your network via a web browser interface using web-connected PCs, web pads, PDAs or other web-enabled devices. With serial and Ethernet control APIs, this RoHS-compliant device can even be controlled by typical home automation systems. Software developers can easily write audio applications using one of the well-documented Ethernet, serial or web-based interfaces.

More Info
|
Connection to audio equipment is made simple through the Instreamer's stereo RCA analog as well as S/PDIF and coax digital inputs; an optical S/PDIF input for an optical digital audio source is also available (optical cable sold separately). There are different methods to connecting the Instreamer to an Exstreamer or to a PC application and can be combined, as needed. The Instreamer has an integrated livestream web server that acts like an Internet radio server and can serve streams by standard HTTP. The Instreamer can also be configured to connect to another device by TCP. The audio is then streamed as an MP3. In addition, the Instreamer can send its audio stream by raw UDP, either with a specific receiver address or with broadcast and multicast addresses.
Deliver your newly converted audio through your network by using the Exstreamer, the Exstreamer Wireless, for wireless networks, or the Exstreamer Digital, for the ultimate in digital output.
