Essential Info
Enjoy your vast MP3 collection through your living room stereo or powered speakers without running network cables throughout your home. Using a wireless PC Card (wireless card sold separately; please reference compatibility list before installing wireless card) or hardwired via a 10/100 Mbit Ethernet connection, the Exstreamer Wireless plays MP3 audio streams over a wireless LAN from sources such as digital audio servers, PCs or Internet radio stations as well as analog sources (using Instreamer) and provides analog and digital output. An Exstreamer Wireless can be easily controlled via a web browser interface using web-connected PCs, web pads, PDAs or simply by an IR remote control (sold separately), and with serial and Ethernet control APIs, the device can be managed from typical home automation systems.

More Info

The configurable Exstreamer Wireless is perfect for multiroom distributed audio systems as well as for commercial audio streaming applications since it supports various control and communication modes. Thanks to the audio synchronization capability, digital audio distribution to big halls or rooms is now easy to implement. Software developers can easily write audio applications using one of the well-documented Ethernet, serial or web based interfaces. The Exstreamer is compatible with any dedicated music server that offers a standard web/http interface, or it can also be fed with a TCP data stream. You may adjust your settings for the control ports, IR source and IR gateway properties; simply define the ports on which the device will receive commands via UDP and TCP. Leaving the IP address at 0.0.0.0 and setting a valid port will broadcast the IR commands in the LAN. To direct to a specific device, just set the IP address of the device and the port. The Exstreamer can also be integrated into various control applications and home automation systems. Use the serial port on the Exstreamer to send control commands from a home automation system and other PC or embedded applications; the same control commands used on the serial port can be used as UDP or TCP commands over Ethernet.
If your LAN is not wireless, try the Exstreamer. For digital output and best possible sound, try the Exstreamer Digital. It converts analog and digital audio into MP3 streams and serves the network just like an ordinary Internet radio station.
The Exstreamer Wireless measures 7.1" x 1.97" x 4.73" (80mm x 45mm x 111mm) and weighs 500 grams.
