Essential Info
This tool kit will be extremely useful when you're working on a telephone system or LAN network. Use the wire cutter/stripper to cut cables to length and prepare the ends for connections. The crimping tool will attach the modular plugs with the correct force to make a secure, neat connection. Use the punchdown tool when not using modular plugs; the proper tool not only makes installation easier, but far more reliable. After all the connections have been made, use the LAN tester to check your work for proper connection sequence, short circuits, or open circuits. LAN tester requires one 9V battery (sold separately).
