The BX-80NR helps protect a building's exterior by detecting intruders before an entry is attempted. In addition to signaling an alarm system, BoundaryGard creates an audible local alarm to deter intruders before a break-in occurs.

The Bx-80NR is a passive infrared detector which detects the infrared heat energy emitted by humans. It creates a multi-layered, horizontal barrier that detects intruders and sounds the alarm before they actually break in. One BX-80NR can protect up to 80 feet. (40 feet in each direction) because it is installed in the center of the detection area and protects on both sides. Dual beam technology helps avoid false alarms created by small animals, falling leaves, and other natural occurrences.
