Essential Info
Now your DVR can stream live surveillance video direct to your Smartphone. Know what's happening at your home or business even when you're on vacation. Don't have a Smartphone yet? You can view the video from any internet browser. Just viewing an incident, though, won't help you prosecute - you need to record it for proof. This DVR's 500GB hard drive will record 14 days at its default settings, but up to 60 days using motion detection and lower settings. The H.264 compression allows video to be stored on the drive in a fraction of the native size, enhancing your storage capacity. Setting up is easy: just plug in up to four cameras and connect to your Ethernet network. You may connect up to three monitors, using two dedicated ports plus a VGA output. There's also an RS485 port to control pan, tilt, and zoom if your cameras are so equipped. The remote control gives you complete control over all the DVR's functions: selecting between cameras, setting up motion detection, mute audio, play, rewind, fast forward, pause, and stop. You can set up recording schedules, and can also choose to record only if an alarm is triggered. Each channel may have a different schedule. The schedules can be set up for each day of the week. You may also configure the DVR to send you an alert upon a trigger event. This DVR is also available in an 4-channel version.
