This compact, subtle sensor communicates with your Z-Wave network when it detects infrared changes. Perfect for maintaining security, the sensor can be used both inside and outside your home. When motion is sensed, commands are automatically sent to up to six devices, turning on lights, setting off sirens, or any other application you have programmed to report the sensor’s state. All communications are done wirelessly over radio frequency (RF). Mount the sensor with the included swivel arm and back plate mount to best fit its environment. The sensor requires the use of four AAA batteries. With a fresh set of batteries, the sensor can operate for up to two years. When used with a gateway, the battery level is displayed so you’ll know exactly when they need to be replaced.
