The 8-Zone LED keypad provides easy-to-understand information about the status of your security system by lighting words corresponding to important functions on the LED display. The keypad's sounding device provides audible feedback each time a key is pressed. With unique audible sequences, it signals troubles and the correct or incorrect entry of information. While the keypad can be used to send commands to the system, it is recommended that you use the LCD Keypad for programming. Use the keypad to arm or disarm the system, activate or deactivate the chime that sounds when a door is opened, or test the system.
The 8-Zone LED Keypad will display information on the first eight zones in your system. If you have installed one or more 8-Zone Hardwired Expansion Modules (sold separately), you can instead purchase a keypad that features more zones. A 16-Zone LED Keypad and a 32-Zone LED Keypad are also available and are sold separately.
