This system is designed to protect up to eight different zones in your home. By installing the Telephone & X10 Control Escort Module, you'll turn any tone telephone into a fully functional keypad that can be used to respond to and control the system remotely, even adjusting a connected Communicating Thermostat from across town. The Professional 8 - 32 Zone Security System with X10 & Intercom consists of the Power 8 Zone Security Panel and Cabinet, the Power 8-32-Zone Alphanumeric LCD Keypad, a 12V Backup Battery, and a 16VAC 40VA Power Supply, all required and sold separately. Accessories are also sold separately.

The Telephone & X10 Control Escort Module allows any touch-tone telephone to act as a keypad for your security system. Call in from any phone and enter your access code, and the Telephone & X10 Control Escort Module will provide easy-to-understand audible information on the status of your system, prompting you through each operation and allowing you to make changes to connected accessories. You'll appreciate its extensive library of voice prompts as you arm or disarm the system, trigger connected video cameras (sold separately) to take pictures or begin filming, or control such home automation devices as lights and thermostats. The module includes a built-in interface to control up to 32 X10 units and four thermostats.
If the Telephone & X10 Control Escort Module is being used through a telephone on the premises at the same time as an incoming call is detected, the system will alert you and allow you to take the call. If you have a fire, auxiliary, or panic alarm installed, you can activate these alarms remotely using any telephone keypad, as well.
Additional features include adjustable volume and speech rate control.
