Essential Info
If you use the Linear Wireless Security Panel to protect your home or business, you can add one- and two-way voice communications to your system easily using the Linear Remote Speaker/Microphone. This unit contains an 8-ohm speaker and a high-sensitivity microphone that provide voice communication when calling out to emergency services or central station for help or for calling in for remote activation. Connection wires are sold separately. If you have the Linear Personal Emergency Reporting System set up to contact emergency services or a cell phone number in the event of an emergency, you'll be able to communicate with the call recipient without getting up.

Setup and ConnectionsThe Linear Remote Speaker/Microphone connects to your security panel through the included 4-position terminal strip located behind the access cover. Two wire runs, one for the speaker and one for the microphone, are required. The speaker wire should be two-conductor 18 AWG twisted pair for runs up to 50 feet. Use 16 AWG for runs up to 100 feet. The microphone wire must be shielded two-conductor twisted cable, 24 AWG or larger. Mount the Linear Remote Speaker/Microphone on any convenient tabletop or on a wall using the included template.
