If you use the Linear Wireless Security Panel to protect your home or business, you can trigger an alert from anywhere in your household by mounting the wireless Linear Passive IR Motion Detector on an indoor wall. When the passive infrared sensor detects motion in its field of view, the transmitter sends a digitally coded wireless signal to your security system.

How it WorksThe Linear Passive IR Motion Detector is a battery-powered passive infrared motion detector with a built-in transmitter to signal your Linear Wireless Security Panel upon a breach, when its battery is low, and hourly to deliver status updates. If you use it with the Linear Personal Emergency Reporting System auto-dialer, it can even act as an activity monitor for elderly parents or for kids arriving home from school.
Power and SecurityThe Linear Passive IR Motion Detector is powered by the included 9-volt alkaline battery. The battery's life can be up to three years depending on the area's traffic. To conserve battery life, during normal operation, the detector can trigger the transmitter a maximum of once every four minutes. The digital DXS code format features over a million possible codes.
