Essential Info
If you use the Linear Wireless Security Panel to protect your home or business, you can supervise every door and window by installing the Linear Door/Window Transmitter at each entry. When its magnetic contact is broken, it will send a signal to your security panel. The Linear Door/Window Transmitter also accepts external devices, so you can connect normally closed external contacts or a normally open Window Bug-type glass-break sensor to trigger this signal, as well. This transmitter even sends hourly status signals for added peace of mind.

How it WorksIn a typical installation, the magnet is mounted on a door or window and the transmitter is mounted on the frame. When the magnet moves more than a half-inch away from the transmitter, an alarm signal is sent. When the magnet returns next to the unit, a restore signal is sent. Alarms and restores can also be sent from external contacts wired to the terminal block. The digital DXS code format features over a million possible codes for added security.
Additional ApplicationsSince the Linear Door/Window Transmitter transmits status signals hourly, you can use this magnetic contact to monitor activities, as well. Attach one to an elderly parent's medication dispenser to make sure he or she is taking required medicine. There's virtually no limit to its applications. If you connect the Linear Personal Emergency Reporting System to your security panel, the Door/Window Transmitter can use its auto-dialing feature to summon emergency personnel or call a cell phone when triggered.
Additional Door/Window Transmitter AvailableIf you don't want to connect external switches or glass-break sensors to the Linear Door/Window Transmitter, a Linear Mini Door/Window Transmitter is available without these connections. A separate Linear Glass-Break Detector with a built-in transmitter is also available.
