    Interesting complaint From the manual: To wire the power supply to the keypad attach the wires to the AC/DC POWER IN terminal on the keypad control board as shown to the right. Connect the other end to the opener’s battery - one end to the POSITIVE pole and the other to the NEGATIVE pole. This seems to imply that the unit can be hard-wired.

    I went to the trouble of hard wiring the keypad only to discover it still requires batteries. What is the point of hard wiring at all.

    Thanks for making the user guide available online. I'm using it to control an electric door strike to give meter reader, pool service, etc. individual codes for access to backyard, and it works exactly as described for this hardwired application.

    Nowhere in the installation directions or instructions does it explicitly state that the auto gate opener can be mounted in a location that is exposed to the weather. I had to assume that I was free to do so.
